  25. A programmer friend of mine is nearly finished writing
  26. a .AVI compiler for Windows (3.1,95,NT) and was wondering
  27. a few things:

  29. 1>  Right now, it only supports .BMP's (any Color-depth);
  30.     Should it support .TGA's, .IFF's, etc.  And if so,
  31.     how important is this?
  32.  
  33. 2>  Next, he was wondering if sound support is that 
  34.     important.  If it is, he would allow the user to 
  35.     attach .WAV's at compile time.
  36.  
  37. Any other suggestions are welcomed.  We started this
  38. project because of the utter lack of .AVI compilers out
  39. there for Windows.

  41. Program History:
  42.  
  43. Right now, it supports whatever compressors the user has
  44. installed and allows you to scale the video to any
  45. user-defined size.  You can of course define the frame
  46. rate and add key frames and consistant intervals.  All 
  47. of these functions and more are done at compile time,
  48. NOT as after-effects.  There are enough programs that do
  49. that sort of thing already.  This is intented as a simple,
  50. much-needed utility for users with a small registration
  51. price tag of $15.  Please e-mail me your comments and
  52. questions directly.  I will of course announce where you
  53. can acquire this app as soon as it is done.
